Russian-speaking resident of Brooklyn Center (Minnesota) accused in fraud. He set his own house on fire and painted political graffiti on his property to collect insurance payouts, reports Fox9.
On September 23, 2020, 29-year-old Denis Vladimirovich Molla told law enforcement that someone had set fire to his van. And that his garage door is defaced with graffiti that reads “Biden 2020,” “BLM,” and the Antifa symbol. He also said that his camper van was targeted because it featured the Donald Trump 2020 campaign flag.
Molla has filed several insurance claims seeking damages to his garage, camper, vehicles and residence from the fire. In total, he filed more than $300 in insurance claims. He ended up receiving approximately $000 in damages.
He also created and allowed others to create two GoFundMe accounts to raise money for him. He received over $17 from individual donors.

When some of his insurance claims were rejected, he filed written complaints with the insurance company. Claimed she was deceiving him by threatening to report the company's alleged misconduct to the Department of Commerce and the Attorney General.
However, after an investigation, it was determined that Molla set fire to his property himself and also painted graffiti on his garage.
The case was the result of an investigation by the FBI and the Brooklyn Center Police Department.
