New York State Sheriffs Launch Child Safety Program: You Can Enroll Your Child in It

Operation Safe Child is a free program that provides parents and guardians with a map of important information about their child. This card and the information it contains can be critical in bringing a missing child home.

The operation currently involves 58 county sheriffs and other law enforcement agencies in New York State.

The cards in this program contain the child's name, a photo of the child, a picture of both index fingers, and identifying information such as the child's gender, eye color, hair color, date of birth, and more.
