Located near the southeast corner of Central Park, Bergdorf Goodman operates from two buildings on Fifth Avenue. The main building is a nine-story labyrinth of shops for luxury women's clothing, accessories, footwear and home goods. 60 years after this store opened, a much smaller (only three floors) men's store opened across the street. Both stores are famous for classic high-end fashion and luxury goods. You can easily spend a whole day browsing Bergdorf Goodman.

When you feel hungry, go to one of the five restaurants located in the department store! Try sweets at Magnolia's Bakery, sushi or soba noodles at Daikanyama. Or grab a frozen yogurt and sandwich at Forty Carrots, enjoy a comfort meal at Flip, or sip on a fantastic gin and tonic at Studio 59. Studio 59 is especially cool because it doubles as a film studio. This means that you can witness the shooting of an advertisement while drinking a cocktail.
There are three Bloomingdale's branches in Manhattan, but you should visit the flagship store in Midtown (on 59th Street) at least once.

The flagship store in Herald Square has been open since 1901. The huge area makes it one of the largest department stores in the country. Merchandise prices at Macy's are moderate. The store has big sales throughout the year, making it the perfect place for the average shopper. However, there are still many luxury items on sale.
