School calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year: important dates for students and parents

Pay attention to the following information

November 8 Election Day is a non-school day. There are no face-to-face or remote classes.

On snowy days and days of emergency school closures, plan for children to participate in distance learning.

In some schools, dates for parent-teacher meetings may differ from those listed below. The teacher will contact you to set up an appointment.

For the purpose of this document, elementary schools are those in grades Kindergarten (K) through eight, including schools with grades 3K and Pre-K, and those where grade five is the final grade. Middle schools are programs with grades 6-8 and middle schools are programs with grades 9-12.

September 15 - Evening parent-teacher meetings (elementary schools and Pre-K centers)
September 22 - Parent-Teacher Evening Meetings (Middle Schools and District 75 Schools)
September 26 - Rosh Hashanah, schools closed
September 27 - Rosh Hashanah, schools closed
September 29 - Parent-Teacher Evening Meetings (Middle Schools, K-12 & 6-12 Schools)
October 5 - Yom Kippur, schools closed.
October 10 - Italian Heritage Day / Indigenous Peoples Day, schools closed
November 3 - Afternoon and evening meetings of parents with teachers (elementary schools; students in these schools go home three hours earlier than usual)

December 26 - Christmas (postponement of December 25 holiday), schools closed
December 27-30 - Winter holidays, schools closed
January 2 - New Year (transfer of the day off on January 1), schools are closed
January 16 - Martin Luther King Day - schools closed
January 24-27 - Regents Exams
January 30 - Teacher Development Day (high schools, K-12 and 6-12 schools; non-school day for students in these schools)
January 31 - Beginning of the spring semester
February 20-24 - Second winter break, including Presidents Day and Lincoln's Birthday. Schools closed
March 9 - Afternoon and evening parent-teacher meetings (elementary schools and Pre-K centers; children go home three hours earlier than usual)
March 16 - Afternoon and Evening Parent-Teacher Meetings (Middle Schools and District 75 Schools)
March 23 - Parent-Teacher Evening Meetings (Middle Schools, K-12 & 6-12 Schools)
