From January 26, 2021, new quarantine rules for foreign citizens traveling to the United States come into force. This is stated in the statement United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
All travelers will now be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test within 3 days of departure. Also, 3-5 days after arrival, you will need to do an additional test and stay on isolation for 7 days.
“Pre- and post-travel testing is a critical layer to slow the introduction and spread of COVID-19. This strategy is consistent with the current phase of the pandemic and more effectively protects the health of Americans, ”the department noted.

If the passenger does not provide documentation of a negative test result or recovery, or decides not to take the test, the airline must deny the passenger boarding.
“Testing does not eliminate all risk,” says CDC director Robert R. Redfield. "But when combined with isolation and everyday precautions such as wearing masks and social distancing, it can make travel safer and healthier."
Various strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus continue to appear in countries around the world, and there is evidence of increased transmissibility for some of them. With the U.S. already seeing a surge, requiring testing of air passengers will help slow the spread of the virus.
