We've all heard of (and perhaps fallen victim to) overrated New York City places from time to time - but what about places that most people have never heard of, or have heard of but just don't fully appreciate? This is where the magic of the city is truly hidden, says Secret nyc.
Here are the 50 most underrated places in New York, according to New Yorkers:
1. “Lady churro under 7 train tracks in Woodside. I'm pretty sure she's magical."
2. New York Historical Society (NYHS)

3. “Bethesda Terrace until 9 a.m. Saturday when the Central Park dogs are out of loan. This is a magnificent sight. The Boathouse Café [Loeb Boathouse] also has a dog-friendly outdoor seating area and the people are friendly. Breakfast is inexpensive and the conversations are fantastic.”
