According to NBC New YorkOn Sept. 12, UPS (United Parcel Service) said it plans to hire more than 4100 seasonal workers in New York ahead of the holiday rush. Almost 80% of these vacancies do not even require an interview. And the digital recruitment process takes just 25 minutes, the company says.

The logistics company says it plans to hire thousands of people to meet consumer demand ahead of the holidays. UPS fills seasonal full-time and part-time positions. First of all, drivers, parcel handlers and driver assistants are needed. Drivers' wages start at $21 an hour.

“We've made the hiring process as easy as possible,” Nando Cesarone, executive vice president of UPS USA, said in a statement. “The strength of UPS has always been our employees. And we are happy to welcome new colleagues to our team and delight our customers.”

UPS reports that nearly 35 seasonal employees have taken on permanent positions after the 000 holiday. A full-time UPS delivery driver earns an average of $2021 a year. Plus an additional $95 in health care and retirement contributions. Drivers earn about $000 an hour after four years at UPS, according to the company.
