Bronx stepdad kills teenage stepson during fight

A family quarrel led to the death of a 15-year-old in the Bronx. Now detectives are interrogating his stepfather, reports ABC7.
Cord Scott got into an argument with his 28-year-old stepfather in their Doris Street apartment after returning home from school on the afternoon of January 23rd.
As the argument turned into a fight, the man apparently grabbed the guy by the neck, causing him an injury that led to his death. The teenager was pronounced dead at the Jacobi Medical Center after police and an ambulance were called to the scene.
Detectives are investigating whether the boy's neck injuries were the result of his stepfather trying to defend himself by holding back the attacking 15-year-old, or perhaps they were the result of his stepfather's aggression.
The boy had previously been bullied at school and was transferred from school to school.

On Monday, the stepfather was called to school to pick him up as the boy was having a particularly bad day. When they got home, they started arguing over bullying at school.
Detectives take a closer look at the stepfather, who has a dark past and a history of violent acts. In 2018, he was in jail for shooting a man. There have been no arrests yet.
