Brooklyn MTA bus collided with five cars: 14 people were hospitalized

In East New York, an accident occurred between a B15 city bus and five vehicles. Police are investigating to determine the cause of the incident. ABC.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Essex Street and New Lots Avenue, just a few meters from the bus stop, around 20:00 on May 28.
At least 14 people were injured. A 44-year-old woman who was in one of the vehicles was seriously injured. She was found in a car with no signs of life. She is in the hospital in critical condition. The rest of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals, doctors do not comment on their condition.
“We heard a sharp sound of impact, everyone started looking out the windows,” said Wayne Spells, one of the witnesses to the incident.

The bus was towed from the scene on the morning of May 29, but the wreckage was left lying in the middle of the intersection.
Area residents say the intersection would be much safer if the stop signs were replaced with traffic lights.
Officials did not say how many passengers were on the bus. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
