New York's national parks are free this weekend

This Saturday, September 23, the city is celebrating its 30th National Public Lands Day, which means there will be no entry fees for national parks and other federal public lands across the country, reports Time out. So this weekend is the perfect time to get acquainted with the nature of the city and become a little closer to New York.
According to National Park Service, New York State is home to 24 national parks, which are visited by more than 8 million people annually.
Considering the festive aura that this day brings with it, we advise you to take a closer look at some of the city’s iconic places.
For example, to the national monument The Statue of Liberty, which was donated by the people of France as a sign of friendship and has now become the emblem of the city. Let's be honest: even if you're a native New Yorker, how many times have you visited this place? It's time to catch up.
