In New York, new protests erupted after the murder of a 27-year-old black man in Philadelphia by police. The deceased, Walter Wallace, was shot and killed after trying to approach the cops with a knife in his hand.
This assassination caused chaos in Philadelphia and several other cities. On Tuesday evening, October 27, this resulted in a protest in Brooklyn, New York. There, protesters, dressed in black, damaged police cars, set fire to trash cans, smashed shop windows, and even tried to drive a car into a crowd of cops on bicycles.
Around 10 p.m., police arrested about 30 protesters after a group of about 200 people marched through Bourum Hill and then surrounded them on Atlantic Avenue near Bourum Place.

Several protesters during the march called for "police stations in every city in the country to be burned down."
In one scene, captured by multiple video cameras, a group of officers surrounded a dark sedan in an attempt to stop it. The driver of the car continued to move until he drove through the column of police officers on bicycles and disappeared.

It is not known if law enforcement officers were able to stop this car later on Tuesday evening.
In addition, along Court Street from Atlantic Avenue to Montagu, a group of protesters set fire to several trash cans, smashed Bank of America and Starbucks windows, and damaged a Christopher Columbus statue outside the Brooklyn Supreme Court building.
They also smashed the windshield of a taxi and sprayed graffiti spray on a police van, several bus stops and Chase Bank.

As the publication clarifies The Philadelphia Inquirer law enforcement officials repeatedly urged him to drop his weapon, but Wallace did not do this and continued to go to the police. As a result, they opened fire to kill when he was a few meters away.
The incident quickly escalated into a confrontation that lasted until late at night.
It is clarified that as a result of the protests that broke out because of this incident, at least one police car was burned, and several police officers were injured by bricks and other objects thrown from the crowd. One officer was hospitalized in stable condition with a broken leg after being hit by a pickup truck.
