Ethnic Ukrainians living in the United States have discovered the first Ukrainian gallery in NYC. They collaborate with non-profit organizations to help Ukraine using the power and beauty of art.
The main mission of the gallery is to popularize Ukrainian art throughout the world, promote Ukrainian culture and raise funds to support Ukraine. In support of Ukraine, they hold pop-up exhibitions, promotions and auctions where works of contemporary art created by Ukrainian artists are sold.
The organizers are implementing this project together with Ukrainian artists who became refugees as a result of the unjust and terrible war that Russia is waging on Ukrainian soil.
“The First Ukrainian Gallery USA is a launching pad for artists from Ukraine—a place where Ukrainian art can truly flourish,” said managing director and exhibition curator, Maria Manuylenko.
The team sees beauty not only in stunning works of art, but also in helping those in need. That is why 100% of exhibition sales will go to support artists, help the Ukrainian Children's Hospital in Lviv (Western Ukraine) and the development of the gallery.

The “First Ukrainian Gallery of the USA” was founded with the support of a Ukrainian-American businessman and philanthropist and a creative team of ethnic Ukrainians working in the field of art and design. Over the past year, this team has brought works by Ukrainian artists to cities across the United States and held a number of highly successful art exhibitions and charity auctions.
Debut exhibition
"Diamond Jam" is an art exhibition featuring the work of 23 outstanding and emerging artists, running from November 4 to 12 in SoHo, New York. The exhibition will mark the opening of the "First Ukrainian Gallery in the USA", which will become the launching pad for a series of art exhibitions designed to put Ukrainian art on the world map and promote its prosperity in the American creative arena.
“Ukraine is more than war! — says Olga Severina, design director of the project. “The conflict has made our country headline news, but Ukraine is more than just a constant feed of battles, tragedies and courage. Our Motherland is a country full of creativity, passion, tenderness, tolerance and thirst for life, and we want the world to see it like that!”
The gallery's debut exhibition, Diamond Jam, is a brilliant combination of technique and artistic flair, rooted in craftsmanship and mastery of creative expression. It brings together artists with contrasting visual aesthetics who interweave the long traditions of classical art with a vibrant mosaic of contemporary creative styles.
Artists tell their personal stories on canvas, in stone, on textiles and in clay, sharing with their viewer feelings of serenity and fearlessness, sensuality and virtue, disharmony and bliss.
“Diamond Jam” is a show that is fresh, bold and easy on the eyes. We wanted it to be bold and dynamic. A show that will give the American public a sense of novelty and will impress even the most fastidious New Yorkers,” says the show’s PR manager Anna Blinohvatova.
The exhibition presents Ukrainian art, which shone in the program of the Venice Biennale and at the Barcelona Design Museum. The creative works presented at the exhibition received the highest praise from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during the exhibition in Potsdam. Vladimir Zelensky personally presented the work of one of the exhibition artists to Pope Francis.
