New Yorkers will have to pull out their warm winter boots and shovels again this week as heavy snow is expected on Thursday, February 18. A winter storm will bring up to 10 inches (25 cm) of snow to the city, writes New York Post.

Snowfall will start early Thursday, around dawn. During the daytime, there will be heavy snowfall from time to time, which will turn into sleet and freezing rain in the evening.

The most severe blizzard is expected from 9:00 to 16:00.

In urban boroughs and suburbs, 6 to 10 inches (15-25 cm) of snow is forecast.

The air temperature on Thursday morning will be 20 degrees Fahrenheit (about -6 ° C), which means that in the morning the city expects dry and fluffy snow. By the evening the temperature will rise to 30-35 degrees Fahrenheit (-1 ... + 2 ° C), and the snow will become wet.
