You can feel that joy in New York at the Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival. The 30th beloved festival will take place on September 3-5, 2021 in Timor Park in Langrangeville. Only In Your State.
75 balloon launches are planned for the weekend (weather permitting).
Morning start - about 6:30, evening - 17:30.
Seeing these colorful and majestic balloons is a truly unique experience. There is a picnic area at the festival, so you can grab a bite to eat while watching the hot air balloons fly into the skies of the Hudson Valley.
Tickets cost $ 14 per person in the evenings and just $ 7 in the morning. This is a great family event.
Please note that tickets must be purchased online in advance! You cannot buy tickets at the entrance.
Balloon flight
For an additional fee, you can even go for a ride in a hot air balloon!
Full flights cost $ 275 per person and you can truly float freely in the air. For those who find it a little intimidating, tethered rides are also available for $ 25 per person. You will be tied to the ground with a rope and will only be at a height of 15-30 meters.
There will be food trolleys available, plenty of family entertainment and live music. There is a lot to see and do here. Even if you prefer to stand on the ground, you are sure to have a great time!
Balloons float in the wind, so they are not easy to control or fly in circles. Pilots should keep an eye out to make sure there are suitable landing sites nearby.
