All city benefits and services in one place: City Hall launched a convenient MyCity portal

The New York City Hall presented the MyCity portal, a resource that will help citizens find work, receive benefits and services. Mayor Eric Adams emphasized that New Yorkers deserve to receive assistance without going through bureaucratic hell, because these programs and resources are funded by their taxes.
“My administration is committed to making it easier for New Yorkers to access city services from anywhere, anytime. To do this, we run My City is an online portal where New Yorkers can find, apply for, and track their City services they are eligible for,” Adams explained. The portal is available as a website and smartphone app.
In the first phase, MyCity introduced child care assistance programs for low-income New Yorkers. Families who need help paying for childcare can apply quickly and conveniently through the app.
In the past, families had to visit multiple websites, navigate through different city agencies, and submit paper documents to request assistance. Many could not know the full list of documents for applying and therefore received refusals. And in case of failure, the whole long and tedious process had to be started anew.
В My City everything works differently. Process filing an application is now available completely online, in one place and in more than ten languages (including Russian). To save time, fill out a simple questionnaire before applying to find out if you are eligible for child care assistance.
“This is what the government should be doing – making life easier for working families. During the election campaign, I promised that we would do this, and I am proud that we are fulfilling this promise,” the mayor said.
Applying for financial assistance to care for a child is only one of the possibilities. In MyCity, among other things, there is access to other city services and benefits. In addition, through the portal you can look for a job or internship and get access to business services.
