Who Wins the Presidential Race in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut? Fox5 tells what the polls say.
While Vice President Kamala Harris continues to hold a slim lead over Donald Trump nationally, let's look at what the polls say about the tri-state area.
New York
In the Cygnal poll, 57% of voters are for Harris, 39% for Trump, and 4% are undecided. Meanwhile, Trump is improving on his 2016 (37%) and 2020 (38%) results, while Harris is lagging behind Clinton's 2016 (59%) and Biden's 2020 (61%) results.
In the latest Siena College poll, 58% favored Harris, 39% favored Trump, and 3% favored others.
New York has voted Democratic in the last nine elections, six of them by 20% or more, including the 2020 election, when President Joe Biden defeated Trump by 23%.
New Jersey
In the latest Rutgers-Eagleton poll, 55% of registered voters said they would vote for Harris, while 35% said they would vote for Trump. 6% said they would not vote for any of the candidates or would prefer someone else, and 5% were unsure of their choice.

In a Cygnal poll of likely general election voters statewide, 52% will vote for Harris and 40% for Trump. Four percent of voters are choosing a third-party candidate, and another 4% say they are undecided.
New Jersey has gone Democratic in the last eight elections after voting Republican in the previous six. Biden won the state against Trump 57% to 41% in 2020.
Connecticut
In a CT Mirror Poll in Connecticut, 57% of voters favored Harris, 41% supported Trump, and 2% preferred others.
Connecticut has voted Democratic in the last eight elections. In 2020, Biden beat Donald Trump by 20%.
Polls in Swing States
Harris continues to hold a slim lead nationally, but polls show Trump appears to be gaining ground in key swing states.
Arizona Polls
An average of nine polls, the latest of which was taken on Oct. 29, shows Trump leading by 2,2 percentage points in Arizona, a swing state with 11 electoral votes.
Georgia Polls
An average of six polls, the latest of which was conducted on October 29, shows Trump leading by 2 percentage points in Georgia, a swing state with 16 electoral votes.
Michigan Polls
An average of nine polls, the latest of which was taken on Oct. 30, shows Harris leading by 1,6 percentage points in Michigan, a swing state with 15 electoral votes.
Nevada Polls
An average of seven polls, the latest of which was on Oct. 29, shows Trump leading by 0,4% in Nevada, a swing state with six electoral votes.
North Carolina Polls
An average of nine polls, the latest taken on Oct. 29, shows Trump leading by 1,4 percentage points in North Carolina, a swing state with 16 electoral votes.
Pennsylvania Polls
An average of eight polls, the latest taken on Oct. 29, shows Trump leading by 0,5% in Pennsylvania, a swing state with 19 electoral votes.
Wisconsin Polls
An average of seven polls, the latest of which was taken on Oct. 29, shows Trump leading by 0,2% in Wisconsin. Harris led by 0,4% in Wisconsin polls a day earlier.
