Hunting for men in Manhattan is practically a blood sport (ask any of the single ladies looking for a suitable match). However, spending hours at a bar hoping to strike up a meaningful conversation with a guy is very tiring. And scrolling through the profiles of potential playboys on dating apps in search of at least one serious fan is completely depressing. What did one of the residents of New York come up with, the publication said New York Post.
When Caroline Gates, a 29-year-old beauty who has been single for two years, got tired of the romantic rush, she took matters into her own hands—literally.
“I decided to make a sign that said ‘Looking for a husband’ and walked around the city to see if it would work,” said the model, who lives in SoHo.
Gates walked the streets of the city with her cardboard billboard after months of chatting with men on dating apps like Tinder and Hinge. But, in order not to lose hope, the potential bride decided to make an acquaintance personally, resorting to the help of higher powers.

“I really believe,” she said, “if I make a sign that I want something (husband, Birkin, Chanel), then the Universe will see it and send me exactly what I dream of.”
The stunning brunette South Asian, who moved to the US in 2017, has racked up more than 8 million views on TikTok for her footage of her hunting down her future hubby.
In the video, Gates, wearing a colorful headscarf and skinny jeans, walks around the city center waving a handwritten poster in the air. She believes that the lover of her dreams - a handsome man with a beautiful soul - will miraculously appear.

And he appeared.
“I exchanged numbers with one of the guys in the video, and we’ve been talking for several days,” the girl said, noting that it only took her 30 minutes to meet the man. Gates chose not to name him for privacy reasons.
“We are just starting to get to know each other,” she explained. “It’s still new, but we’ll see what happens.”
The Law of Attraction in Love is just one of the many unorthodox methods of winning over men that are currently spreading throughout the world.
The “fake engagement ring” trend has women finding their betrothed by wearing fake diamond rings, and 35-year-old Los Angeles lawyer Eva Tilley-Coulson went so far as to publicly offer a $5 reward to anyone who introduces her to a man. whom she would eventually marry.
"Most men on apps don't want to date seriously," Tilley-Coulson said. “I think paying $5 for a husband who meets my needs and is ready for a real relationship is well worth it.”
However, Gates said her “brassy” measures are also definitely paying off.
“I’m really glad I met my person, but I’m more proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone,” she said. "I want a family, I'm ready for love, and I don't have time to waste it."
