Thirteen Liquids You're Allowed to Take on a Plane in Any Volume

Since the September 11 attacks, airport passengers are only allowed to carry liquids in small containers. Their volume is limited to 100 ml each, and in total they must not exceed one liter per person. But there are exceptions. UnionRayo tells about 13 liquid goods that are allowed to be carried at the airport regardless of their volume.
There are indications that some liquids may be allowed to be carried in their original size and container in the very near future. Technological advances mean that the 3-1-1 rule (liquids under 3,4 ounces must be placed in one clear, resealable, quart-size plastic bag. One such container per traveler) may become a thing of the past.
There is a prospect that 3D CT (computed tomography) scanners used in airports to detect prohibited liquids will be gradually abolished. This will allow personal hygiene products to be transported in regular packaging.
On the subject: Seven Things You Should Never Wear on a Plane
In some airports, especially in Europe, this restriction was lifted back in 2023. TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has hopefully informed its employees that this restriction may be lifted in the very near future for them too.
Are there any liquids that can be carried in large format?
The TSA said there is a list of 13 products that can be carried in their original containers. They are related to daily use (many are practically essential to health and well-being).
List of liquids that can be transported in regular packaging:
- baby milkIf you are traveling with a baby, you can now take breast milk or formula with you in the required quantity without worrying about restrictions;
- water and baby food. In addition to milk, you can bring water with you to prepare baby food during the flight, which will really make traveling with little ones easier;
- liquid medicines. Anyone who needs liquid medications can carry them without issue. The TSA recommends carrying a prescription or some medical documentation to prove it, in case authorities do not allow it;
- hand sanitizer. This product, which has become necessary during the pandemic, has already been allowed without any restrictions. It will continue to be allowed;
- nasal sprays and saline solutions are very useful for those who need to maintain respiratory health during long trips. These products can be transported without volume restrictions;
- artificial tears and eye drops. For anyone who wears contact lenses or suffers from dry eyes, this permit will make life easier. They will not need justification to take them with them on trips;
- non-flammable hair and body sprays. These personal hygiene items (provided they are non-flammable) are also included on the TSA list;
- contact lens solution нEssential for those who wear contact lenses;
- denture cleaning fluid. Now denture owners can carry their cleaning products with them without worrying about volume restrictions;
- creams and lotions (for medical use);
- liquids for inhalers necessary for inhalation devices for people with asthma or respiratory diseases;
- live fish, transported in water, and other biological samples;
- freezer or ice packs dFor essential medical supplies (such as vaccines that need to be kept cold).
The TSA says officers can still scan liquids for explosives. But in the case of liquid medications, for example, that can't be X-rayed, there are other ways to screen them.
