In New York, a man was arrested who was trying to smash an explosive device at Stony Brook University Hospital on Long Island in New York. The detainee was a 33-year-old local resident Robert Roden.
He could not get inside: at the entrance he was stopped by a security guard, whom the man's behavior seemed suspicious. When the police arrived at the scene, they found explosives in him. As a result, two floors of the hospital were evacuated for several hours.
The reason for this act was that the partner of Rodin, who is being treated in this hospital, allegedly does not receive quality care. Enraged by this, the man left the hospital, and later that day returned with three improvised explosives, a tomahawk, and a pneumatic pistol, Suffolk County Attorney said on charges.
On June 10, police ransacked Rodin’s house on Mastic Beach and found something else, namely: landmines equipped with live cartridges, an AR-15 rifle, and 42 grams of methamphetamine.

Rodin, who was convicted of a felony in the past, has been charged with illegal possession of weapons and prohibited substances, as well as contempt of court, authorities said.
