Crystal Thomas, a 33-year-old resident of Highland, New York, has been accused of endangering a child's welfare after she allowed him to do body art. Syracuse.
She was released on bail. Later, the woman will appear before the city court.
Lloyd Police Chief James Janso said the boy got the tattoo while he was staying at a motel with his mother and her other child. They learned that the man in the next room could tattoo the child. The police said that the mother allowed her 10-year-old son to go to him and get a tattoo. The boy had his name tattooed in large block letters on his forearm (the entire body art took about 15 cm).
Janso said the tattoo was an unprofessional job. In addition, the boy's mother was not in the room when he was tattooed, which is unacceptable in the case of a procedure performed on a child.

The tattoo was discovered by the school nurse when the boy tried to apply Vaseline on it. The nurse reported this to a school security officer who contacted the police in Lloyd, near the Highlands.
The police are trying to find the man who got the tattoo. Janso reported that they had leads. But the suspect is no longer at the tattoo motel. It mainly accommodates temporary residents.
Both of Thomas' children were taken by Child Protective Services. It is not clear if the unfortunate mother regained custody after her release from prison.
