Police said a 64-year-old man was stoned to death on a Brooklyn subway platform. The incident occurred as the man was returning home from work over the weekend. New York Post.
Intazar Dar was on the Q train from Lower Manhattan, where he works as a security guard. Shortly before 20:XNUMX am on August XNUMX, he was attacked by a stranger at the Avenue H station in Midwood.
Dar said he first noticed the stranger muttering loudly and pacing around on the Q train. As the train pulled into Avenue H station, the victim reprimanded the man for being shirtless. They started arguing. The suspect then jumped onto the tracks, grabbed a rock and climbed back onto the platform.

Surveillance footage released by police shows the man pushing the victim as he tries to approach the turnstiles.

The suspect then hit Dar several times on the head with a rock, knocking him unconscious.
The assailant was captured on cameras as he fled the station. The police said they were still trying to find him.
“The first time this happened in my life in New York, but now I'm afraid,” Dar said. It's been two years since I've been doing my job. I don't have any problems with this place. But now I see a lot of homeless people – they scare me.”
Dar was taken to the Maimonides Medical Center where he was treated for a head injury and then released.
The victim said he was still suffering from swelling of the head. He will also have to take at least a week off to recover.
Police described the alleged assailant as a man in his 30s, about 1,80m tall, with brown eyes and black hair.
