More than 40 bank branches in New York will close by the end of 2023: list

If you are one of those people who like to conduct banking transactions in person, then we hasten to disappoint you. More than 20 major bank branches will close in New York state by the end of 2023, reports nj1015.

Many local branches have filed notices of their closure with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Unfortunately, the reasons for closing branches are not reported.

“Generally, a bank is required to notify customers of a branch closure by sending notices by mail at least 90 days before the date of closure and by posting a public notice in the branch 30 days before the date of closure.”

Even if there is no other branch in the area, banks still have the right to close the local branch. However, they must provide notice. The following New York locations will close by the end of the year:
