A Russian-speaking girl has disappeared in Brooklyn: the family asks for help with the search

A migrant family in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay neighborhood is asking for the public's help in finding their missing teenage daughter. According to Brooklyn News12, the girl was last seen on March 12, 2024.

Polina Kovalevskaya’s parents say they haven’t been able to find her for a week: “We still don’t understand why she did it. It's been a week since our daughter left the house and headed down Avenue Y." Her parents said it was on this block that she was last seen before she went missing.

Nobody knows where the girl went next. Perhaps Polina turned onto one of the streets, but this cannot be said for sure.

Her parents, Alexandra and Denis, turned to the public for help. They held a press conference in hopes of intensifying the search for their daughter. According to them, although the NYPD is actively searching for Polina, they need additional help.

“We want to get funds to find her and, most importantly, just know that she is okay. You can't imagine what it's like to not know where your child is.

In case Polina was listening, her mother gave her a message: “If something happened, I’m very sorry. I miss. I really miss. I want to see you. I want to hug you. I just want to hug you. Come back.”

The family says that the search for Polina is becoming more difficult every minute. Parents are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact local authorities.
