Real winter is coming to New York: a blizzard will cover the region in the coming days

In particular, in counties in the Hudson Valley, right up to the northernmost areas of Rockland and Westchester counties, by the morning of Monday from 12 to 20 cm of snow will fall.

Most of the underlying counties, Westchester and Rockland, along with northern New Jersey and Fairfield County in Connecticut, may encounter snow from 7 to 12 cm.

Sites along the coast, including New York, Long Island, and central New Jersey, will also be snowed. Here, the height of the cover can reach 8 cm.

In some other areas — Long Island and southern New Jersey — less 3 cm of snow will fall.

“Whatever the amount of rainfall, one thing is certain: big travel troubles should be expected along the entire I-95 highway, starting from early evening on Sunday,” the source warned.

Travelers are advised to go on the road a few hours earlier in time to get to their destination on time. Due to the weather, there may be significant delays in flights to and from major airports, which should also be taken into account.
