Private business workers will have to be vaccinated against COVID-19, reports Spectrum News 1 NY... Adolescents and adults need two doses of the vaccine to dine indoors. A new vaccination ordinance went into effect in New York on December 27.
Earlier Mayor of New York Bill de Blazio said private business employees must provide confirmation of at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine by December 27. As part of this mandate, employers are required to maintain complete records of their workers' vaccinations. Companies that do not comply with the rules are issued fines of $ 1000 or more.

New Yorkers 12 years and older must present evidence receiving two doses of the vaccine. This is necessary to enter restaurants and cafes, as well as to visit gyms and indoor entertainment venues. They can also show proof of one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The new rules herald an expansion of de Blasio's Key to New York program.
The private business mandate extends to approximately 184 businesses, the mayor said in a statement.
Mayor-elect Eric Adams takes office on January 1st. He said he is considering the decision, but it is not yet known whether it will be in effect after January 1.
