Coursera gives New Yorkers free access to thousands of courses

New York State has partnered with online education portal Coursera to launch an online platform for residents in the region. Anyone can get knowledge and master new professions for free. A new opportunity is reported https://www.izakayasushilounge.com Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo.
Unemployed as well as part-time New Yorkers have access to nearly 4 free courses and certification programs from Coursera. Classes will be held online. The launch of the platform back in 000 was announced by the Governor of New York State Andrew Cuomo.
According to him, this will allow New Yorkers to learn new skills completely free of charge and, possibly, move up the career ladder. The new tool will provide residents of the state with access to online programs from Coursera. The focus of the course listing was on developing skills in emerging and high-demand industries such as manufacturing, technology and healthcare.
The state will also partner with New York City businesses to encourage their employees to take advantage of free training opportunities.

- Supply chain management.

- Fundamentals of programming (JavaScript, HTML and CSS).

“The war against COVID-19 is taking place on multiple fronts. And while we do our best to protect the health of New Yorkers, we must take steps to rebuild the economy, Cuomo said. "The new learning platform will be a key element in this effort, giving New Yorkers access to the resources they need to get on their feet ... I encourage all New Yorkers to take advantage of this free program."
The new courses are offered through a partnership between the New York State Department of Labor and Coursera, the world's leading online learning platform. This partnership will save New York City millions of dollars over the next couple of years as City Hall will not have to pay to upgrade many professionals.
