If you didn't have time to see 200 tulips, who filled Union Square last weekend, don't feel bad. According to Secret nyc, the Upper West Side will host its annual Tulip Festival.
About 15 tulips will bloom in The West Side Community Garden (123 West 89th Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues). Don't miss the opportunity to attend an unforgettable flower festival. It will begin on April 13 and will last until early May. The event is completely free and open to the public.
Weekends April 13-14 and April 20-21 are informational. Last season, curious visitors could even take a horticultural tour of the beds, led by garden staff.
The tulip bulbs were planted back in November by community members and volunteers. Other spring flowers will bloom in the garden.
“We know that the Tulip Festival is a family favorite every year,” said Judith Robinson, West Side Community Garden board chair. “This year you shouldn’t miss this event either!”
