Since January 18, the American side has cut off the telephone lines of the Russian Consulate General in New York; there are also interruptions in the Internet connection.
“Since January 18, the American side has completely disconnected all city telephone lines of the Consulate General. Interruptions to Internet access periodically occur, ”said a representative of the diplomatic mission RIA News.
According to the agency's source, the American side refers to technical difficulties.
“They allegedly cannot resolve the issue for two days. This has never happened. And we have not one, and not two lines, but a large number. And it feels like everything is turned off at once, ”he said.
The consulate also reported communication problems on Twitter.
