New York City 77-year-old woman beaten to death in her apartment

An elderly woman was found dead in her Brooklyn apartment. She was beaten to death, according to police. New York Post.
On July 23 at 19:23 pm, 77-year-old Eleanor Bernard was found by police after calling 911. The woman was found with bruises and bruises all over her body at her home in East Flatbush.
“She had injuries on her body that were indicative of an attack,” a police spokesman said.
The victim has bruises all over his body, including under his chin and lip, on his left eye, on his upper chest, right ankle and calf. As well as swelling of both hands, a fracture of the left arm and abrasions on the back.
A neighbor who had known her for 30 years said that a young man had lived with her for the past few months.
“None of us knew why she took him in,” said the 63-year-old neighbor. “She was funny, always made us smile.” The deceased lived in this apartment for about 35 years. And she has a daughter and son, Brooklyn 2021 presidential candidate Hari Edwards.

To journalists who texted him asking about the incident, Edwards said he was unable to talk.
Bernard was one of three people killed in suspicious incidents over the weekend.
A man was found dead with cuts and stab wounds on the floor of his kitchen at 1647 Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush just after 13:00 p.m. on July 23.
Hours earlier in Flushing, a 34-year-old man was found dead in the living room of his apartment at 143-33 Sanford Ave.
All cases are under investigation.
