All Brooklyn in garlands: the first colorful light festival will take place in the borough

A brand-new festival will color Brooklyn with bright, colorful lights this October. The event will be free and available to all New Yorkers. Secret nyc.

The Illumination Light Art Festival will take place under the Kosciuszko Bridge, the first such event in the city. It kicks off October 7 at the new Under the K Bridge Park and will be "a visual beacon of hope and inspiration as we emerge from a difficult period for New York," promises site of the event.

Organized by Illumination NYC, which team includes the producers of the DUMBO Arts Festival and the Pines Party. Breathtaking multi-sensory installations from incredible artists await, as well as mesmerizing performances and plenty of food and drink.

The community and family oriented event will take place October 7-9 from 18:00 to 23:00... The festival will cover two zones of the new park.

Some installations will include the bridge itself

Among the world famous artists who will attend the festival are Paolo Montiel, Rhizome Creative, Robert Montenegro, Darrell Thorn. Also participating are emerging artists from the IDM (Integrated Digital Media) and ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program) departments of NYU.

Of course, the relevant security protocols will be followed in relation to COVID-19. These include extended check-in with clear time slots for entry and attendance restrictions to ensure proper social distancing.

Participation in the Illumination Light Art Festival is completely free. But if you want to pamper yourself, you can buy a VIP ticket for $ 35. The ticket includes two drinks, a bracelet with LED engraving, skip-the-line entry and the need to observe a clear time slot on the territory of the event.
