New restrictions: New York has compiled a list of banned words against illegal immigrants

The directive further provides several examples of actions and comments that would violate restrictions, including harassing people for their emphasis or knowledge of the English language, or threatening to contact the immigration and customs services as a hate tool.

“The hotel forbids its housekeepers to speak Spanish during cleaning because this can offend hotel guests or cause inconvenience to them.” — says one of the complaints.

“A family of Indian immigrants complains to the homeowner about advising them to“ just figure it out ”and threatens to call andimmigration and customs policeif they file a complaint with the Housing Court, ” — written in another statement.

The Commission on Human Rights explained that the directive, at least in part, is a rebuke to the federal authorities in themeasures to prevent illegal immigration.
