Ukrainian studio wins award for restaurant interior design in New York

Ukrainian design studio Yod received the “Prix Versailles” (Prix Versailles) for architecture and design for the interior of the Buddha-Bar in New York. The work of the studio was noted as the best restaurant interior in North America. The Village.
Yod is the first Ukrainian studio to be among the winners of the competition.
Budha Bar New York opened in 2021 in Manhattan. Creating the interior for the institution, the designers had to rethink the well-known brand: the first Budha-Bar started working in 1994 in Paris.
The main theme of the project was reincarnation. The “chip” of the institution is a four-meter Buddha statue made of glass plates.
For countertops and part of the walls, the designers used wood, which, according to the examination, is 800-4000 years old.
The Prix Versailles award is presented in Paris, at the headquarters of UNESCO. The competition was founded in 2017 and takes place annually. The focus of Prix Versailles is a symbiosis of design, art and economy. The award honors the best designs for shops, malls, hotels and restaurants in the world.
