Broadway is back: tickets for which shows you can buy now

Broadway will fully open its doors in September this year, and will again greet theatergoers in the city and around the world for the first time in 18 months of the pandemic. NBC New York told which performances you can buy tickets for now.

Theaters are allowed to sell tickets for 100% of their capacity. Tickets went on sale on May 6, but performances will not begin until September 14.

Tickets for which shows are on sale:

• Longtime hit Chicago returns to Ambassador Theater on September 14
• Wicked is the legendary untold story of the Wicked Witch. The first show is scheduled to air on September 14 at 19:00 at the Gershwin Theater
• Seven-time Tony Award winner The Phantom of the Opera returns to the Majestic Theater from October 22nd and tickets went on sale May 7th
• Jagged Little Pill, a musical inspired by Alanis Morissette's Grammy Award-winning album, will take place on September 7 at the Broadhurst Theater
• The musical Ain't Too Proud will also return on September 7th at the Imperial Theater
• The musical Diana, telling the story of Princess Diana, starts on December 1st
• The West Side Story, a musical called by The New York Times "an undisputed masterpiece that transcends all boundaries," is also open to ticket sales, although a date for the first show has yet to be announced.
• Tickets for the SIX musical about the six wives of Henry VIII are now on sale. The show is scheduled to preview September 17 at the Brooks Atkinson Theater and will officially premiere on October 3.
• Pre-screening Mrs. Doubtfire will take place on October 21 at the Stephen Sondheim Theater and will premiere on December 5.
