City service in New York: tests for which professions you can pass in March

The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) has published exam application schedule into government service in March. Open comparative computer tests are held every month for various positions, reports Silive.
Registration is required to visit DCAS Computer Testing and Application Centers (CTAC) where exams are taken. in the Online Application System (OASys).
Applications for this month's tests will open on March 8 for the following positions:
- administrative specialist for pension payments;
- junior labor relations analyst;
- junior public information officer;
- urban planning technician;
- congregation service specialist;
- media maintenance technician;
- media maintenance technician (CUNY);
- plumber;
- plumber (NYC H+H);
- psychologist;
- psychologist (NYC H+H);
- specialist in school computer technologies;
- senior consultant (public health social work);
- special officer;
- special officer (NYC H+H);
- roofer.
Important to know: Application times may change and some exams may be cancelled.

Hundreds of thousands of people work in New York's 80 municipal services. Taking the test is the way to start the hiring process for most of these positions. The application fee is between $40 and $101.

As of March 1, 2021, all notices of exams and related listings are sent via email only. Notifications will no longer be sent via US mail.
According to DCAS, after an exam, it usually takes 9 to 12 months to compile an appropriate list of those who passed the exams. From among them, services select candidates for further employment.
