More: Comprising over 120 works, this exhibition is entirely from the Whitney collection and is inspired by the history of the museum's founding. The Whitney was founded in 1930 by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, a sculptor and patron of the arts, to advocate for the work of American artists. Mrs. Whitney recognized the importance of contemporary American art and the need to support the artists who created it. The collection she amassed showed how these artists bring out the complexity and beauty of American life in a unique way.

More: Artists from the Russian Art Studio Theater stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and present Animal Farm, a stage adaptation of George Orwell's caustic satire about the Soviet Union and its hidden fall to the level of totalitarianism. Ticket proceeds will go to help Ukraine.

More: 25 years ago, a group of artists from different countries and a director, playwright Slava Stepnov, created STEPS. Now this theater occupies a worthy place in the cultural space of New York, it is loved by the audience, it is known in many countries.
In its anniversary year in 2022, the theater presents the premiere of Slava Stepnov's play Zhopkin Choir, a sad comedy about the life of immigrant actors.
The play takes place in Brooklyn, in a Russian-language radio studio. The day before, the Maestro dies - the director of the theater in which the heroes of the play serve.
The artists, having gathered to record an advertisement, learn about the last will of the director: in the moments of farewell, instead of traditional applause, he asked to sing his favorite song. Chorus! Not everyone likes such an unexpected desire of the Maestro - the artists, reflecting and conflicting, cannot decide what to do. In dialogues and disputes, characters appear, destinies and families collapse, the secret becomes clear.
The performance is in Russian.

What: Human chain in support of Ukraine

More: This Saturday, May 21, at 12:00, the Razom for Ukraine charity organization invites you to join the Human Chain in Support of Ukraine action, which will be held on the Brooklyn Bridge.
People will link Manhattan and Brooklyn in a human chain to show their support for Ukraine and demonstrate the power of unity. Join the "chain" and take with you a flag or banner that will show your support for the Ukrainians.
After the action, participants are invited to the Ukrainian festival near the Church of St. George.
