Unknown man drenched a Black Lives Matter drawing near Trump Tower

The inscription “Black Lives Matter” (“Black Lives Matter”), made in honor of the dead African Americans near Trump Tower in New York City, was doused with red paint.

One of the Twitter users posted a video in which the masked person approaches the letter “V” in the Black Lives Matter inscription, takes out a can of paint from a paper bag and pours the contents onto the inscription. Then he throws the can and runs away.

The New York City Police Department reported that a malicious complaint was filed in connection with the incident and an investigation was launched.

The incident was also commented by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who took part in the application of this inscription. He wrote in his post at Twitterthat the Black Lives Matter movement is “more than words and cannot be undone.”

The mayor also noted that it was a “good attempt” to destroy the inscription, but the New York Department of Transportation has already returned its original appearance.
