In the Bronx, a huge tree fell into the pool: a woman died, another was injured

The incident was reported on August 15 from the private pool of the River Terrace apartments around 13:30 pm on Palisade Avenue. A tree fell on a 59-year-old woman who was swimming in the pool at that time, reports ABC7.

The woman died at the scene. Another 72-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in a critical but stable condition.

The New York City Parks Department said the tree is not under its jurisdiction. It is not yet clear what caused the tree to fall.
