Car cinemas are a great way to spend your weekend safely, following all the rules of social distance. In the city of New York, as well as beyond, there are many drive-in movie theaters. - Bel Aire Diner Drive-In
Astoria, Queens
The Bel Aire eatery in Astoria opened in 1965. At first, movie nights were arranged here in a large (by the standards of New York) public parking. The film “Briolin”, which was popular in the late 1970s, was shown here. Guests can enjoy themed dishes such as The Ones That I Want Mozzarella Sticks and Greek-ed Lightning.

- Tribeca Drive-In Series
Orchard Beach, Bronx
Tribeca Enterprises, which annually organizes and hosts the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, has announced the dates and locations for its new entertainment event, Tribeca Drive-In. Film screenings will run throughout July in various cities across the United States.
Beginning July 9, New Yorkers will be able to attend the film festival, which will be held at Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. Every weekend in July, more than 30 iconic films will be shown here.
Special displays will be organized for workers in the city’s life support sectors, including doctors.

- Skyline Drive-In NYC
Green point brooklyn
This drive-in movie theater opened not so long ago. It is located in Brooklyn on Oak Street, offering stunning views of Manhattan. This place is also popular for photo and video shooting (note for selfie lovers). Soon they plan to organize places for walking and cycling, so you do not even need a car to enjoy a good movie.
The organizer also plans to place food vans at the cinema, where it will be possible to buy food.

- Uptown drive-in experience
Yankee Stadium, Bronx
The MASC Hospitality Group, which also organizes the night market and the Bronx Beer Festival, plans to host Uptown Drive-In every weekend in July in the parking lot of Yankee Stadium. The organizer wants this place to become a “social distant playground” and “the first step towards normalization made right here in our beloved Bronx.”

Warwick, New York
If you cannot get tickets to some of the drive-in movie theaters, visit this movie theater in Warwick, located on the New Jersey border. Google Maps says that a trip from New York to the cinema will take 1 hour 15 minutes.
The Warwick Drive-In Theater, built in 1950, officially opened on May 15th.

- Fair Oaks Drive-In Theater
Middletown, New York
Fair Oaks displays a lot of old and classic films on the big screen, such as Dirty Dancing, Scarface, Free, Jaws and more. It was originally opened in 1970.

- Overlook drive-in
Poukuppi, New York
This drive-in cinema is a family business and has existed since 1955. It can accommodate up to 750 cars. The ticket office opens an hour before the scheduled showing of the first film (you get two films for the price of one). You can pay by debit / credit card.
