This year's Independence Day celebrations will not be complete without Macy's fireworks show. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio promises that this will be the largest show, although some changes will be made to it, of course, with the observance of precautions. How it will happen, the publication told CBS.
Thousands of fireworks will be launched from five barges sailing along the East River. New Yorkers this year have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the show's fate, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Finally, it was revealed that Macy's fireworks show is back and bigger than ever. The organizers promise that the fireworks will last for 25 minutes.
Last year, due to COVID, Macy's ditched a big fireworks show and put on small, unannounced (to avoid crowding) fireworks in every borough.
New Yorkers said they were very excited about the return of the full-scale event.
