Batman's Birthday Celebration in New York: Guests Can Get Free Comics

Gotham is the hometown of the famous superhero Batman, who, together with his allies protects its civilians. Since New York is the inspiration for Gotham City, it's only fitting that Batman celebrate his 85th birthday here. According to Secret nyc, lucky winners will be able to receive free comics to celebrate the anniversary.
Warner Bros. Discovery is celebrating the big day by giving away free Batman comics throughout New York City, with a special event happening at SoHo News International on Saturday, March 30th.
If you go to SoHo News International at 186 Prince Street & Sullivan Street, you'll see that the newsstand has been completely transformed. Limited copies of the Detective Comics special edition #27, celebrating Batman's 85th Anniversary, will be given away free on a first-come, first-served basis.
A modern retelling is also included in the giveaway. The Case of the Chemical Syndicate 1939. Comics will be given away from 11:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. while supplies last.
In addition to the SoHo News store, fans will be able to find the anniversary edition at the following locations (while supplies last) starting March 30th:

- Alex's MVP Cards & Comics;
- Bulletproof Comics and Games;
- Forbidden Planet NYC;
- St. Mark's Comics;
- Midtown Comics Times Square;
- Midtown Comics Grand Central;

The best part is that giving away free Batman comics is just the beginning of the celebration. This year's annual Batman Day will fall on September 21st, and DC has many more surprises in store.
