Fierce police fight with a homeless man in the subway of New York caught on video

Two NYPD officers got into a fight with a homeless man at a subway station in Manhattan. The fierce fight was filmed, writes New York Post.

Police entered the Herald Square station at about 14:30 pm on January 11 and saw two people sleeping on the mezzanine.

At their request to the homeless to leave this place, one of them showed aggression and got into a fight. He was later identified as Perry Robinson.

The video posted in InstagramOne of the officers is seen grabbing Robinson after he gets up from the floor. Robinson, wearing a brown leather jacket, tries to fight the cops. He swung at one of them, then fell.

The two policemen are then seen struggling to keep Robinson on the ground. One of them appears to have punched a homeless man in the face. The second - in a fight he loses his pistol belt and tries to put it on again, while an aggressive man follows another policeman, pushing him against the wall and stabbing him.

The fight ends with Robinson being handcuffed. Two passers-by jump up to help the police keep the criminal.

Robinson, 43, was arrested for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing law enforcement. Robinson is from Greensboro, North Carolina, and has never had any charges in New York before, police said.

Sources said that the perpetrator bit one of the police officers on the left forearm, while another, as a result of a fight, bruised his right knee.
