The Russian-speaking community in Brooklyn holds monthly art workshops in Russian.
The meetings started in March and more and more people attend each month. The secret of success is simple: listeners are told about artists, writers and poets not in the traditional boring manner “born, studied, wrote so many works, died”, but through interesting and little-known facts from their biography. Guests feel like part of a secret club, whose members are initiated into the secrets of the life of famous people.
This time, on June 14, we will discover the secrets and amazing twists and turns in the life of the legendary writer Erich Maria Remarque. The guests of the meeting will be told about his brilliant books, films, musical tastes, as well as about the legendary women of Remarque: Natalie Paley, Marlene Dietrich and Flight Godard.
The event is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the writer, which falls on June 22.
