SummerStage-2022: Dozens of free concerts await New Yorkers this summer

The SummerStage Project has announced a 2022 series of free shows that will take place in New York City parks in all five boroughs from June to October, shares Brooklyn Vegan.
Free concerts at SummerStage in Central Park include (but are not limited to):
- MC Solaar - June 21;
- Waxahatchee / Swearin' / Ohmme - June 22
- Patrick Watson with the Attacca / Elisapie / La Force Quartet - July 2;
- Black Midi / Sal Valentinetti hosted by Sarah Squirm - July 24;
- Caribou / Ela Minus - July 28;
- Sons of Kemet / Makaya McCraven - July 31;
- The Last Poets - August 18;
- DJ Red Alert & Friends - August 21;
- Terence Blanchard ft. E-Collective and Turtle Island Quartet - 27 August.
Free shows at Brooklyn's Von King Park include performances from:
- Mike's Young World 2 featuring Slick Rick - July 21;
- Sampa the Great / Pink Siifu - July 23

Free concerts in five boroughs during the summer will also feature the Budos Band, Kid Capri's Block Party, Shatta Wale, Tony Vega, Force MDs and many more.
