Why New Yorkers Fake Numbers
The MTA operates 7 toll bridges and 2 toll tunnels in New York City. At all intersections, cashless fares are provided using cameras and scanners. A vehicle with an invalid license plate will avoid being charged a toll because the scanner will not be able to identify the owner of the vehicle.
