New York School Graduation Canceled Due to COVID-19

The cancellation of exams scheduled for the first month of summer, said the representative of the New York State Regents Board Betty Rosa (New York State Board of Regents).
During a Council teleconference on Monday, April 6, Rosa made a brief comment regarding the exams.
“It is clear from this statement that we are canceling the Regents Exams,” said Rosa.
She also said that more detailed information about what this means for high school students will be published a little later.

It is also reported that the Council issued emergency list, which will help facilitate the school year for students interested in developing and continuing their education, despite the outbreak of coronavirus.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has put a heavy burden on many New Yorkers, and our schools and children are no exception,” said Rosa. "Today's rules adopted by the Council will enable schools, students and professionals to adapt to this rapidly changing situation."
