New York City Announces January City Service Exam Schedule

The New York City Department of Administrative Services (DCAS) published january civil service exam schedule. Open competitive online exams for various positions are held every month. Silive.
The exams are held at the DCAS Computer Testing and Application Centers (CTAC), which are now re-opened to the public. However, you can only go there by appointment on the website. Online Application System (OASys).
Applications for this month's tests will open on January 4 for the following positions:
- Auto Mechanic;
- auto mechanic (diesel);
- auto mechanic (diesel) (professional);
- auto mechanic (professional);
- child protection specialist;
- child protection specialist (professional);
- duty;
- dental assistant (NYC H+H);
- city deputy sheriff;
- forester;
- assistant (DEP) (pro);
- painter;
- police communications technician;
- caretaker of residential buildings (professional);
- school safety agent;
- health advisor (pro);
- supervisor (watershed maintenance) (pro);
- supervisor plasterer (professional);
- watershed keeper.
Hundreds of thousands of people work in 80 agencies in New York. Taking the test is the way to start the hiring process for most of these positions. The cost of testing varies from $40 to $101.
