Flights to/from JFK Terminal 2 to end next week as part of airport upgrades Patch.
Delta flights from the terminal are now closed. And arrivals will take place as usual until Sunday, January 15th.
The closure of Terminal 2 is part of New York City's plan to build a new state-of-the-art Terminal 1 at JFK Airport.
The new terminal will be built on the site of the current Terminal 1, the 60-year-old Terminal 2 and the now demolished Terminal 3.

Delta AirLines will continue to operate from Terminal 4 during the airport upgrade period.
The current Terminal 1 will be demolished after the completion of the first phase of the new terminal in 2026, followed by the second phase.
The new terminal will double the number of boarding gates, with 22 of the 23 new gates operating for large aircraft.
