Hundreds of couples celebrated weddings at Lincoln Center: a gift from the city to those whose celebration was canceled due to the pandemic

Hundreds of couples once again showed their love for each other during their wedding ceremony at Lincoln Center. COVID and the pandemic ruined their plans for the celebration, but Sunday was their day, reports ABC7.
204 couples celebrated the big day and had a party under a huge disco lantern.
Yvette and Ken Roper got married in Las Vegas three years ago. Then COVID began and their celebration was cancelled. On Sunday they finally had a party.
“That's even better,” Yvette said.

“Such a special evening. Incredible. All performers, different religious leaders,” the couples say.
The event began with a walk down the aisle and congratulations from Mayor Adams.
“Congratulations, you made me want to get married,” Adams said.
This was followed by ceremonial vows and a happy kiss.
Esther and Walter Stutzman have been married for 47 years and have decided to renew their vows.
“We say we love each other every day. This is a chance to set an example for everyone,” Walter said.
Although COVID may have ruined many wedding plans. But there was one thing the virus couldn't stop: love.
