Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Manhattan on the evening of December 8. A woman in her 20s and 30s was crossing 3rd Avenue around 18 p.m. when she was hit by a dark sedan. The driver fled the scene, writes ABC.
The car hit her so hard that she was thrown onto the road in front of a city bus. The driver did not have time to slow down quickly, and the bus also hit the woman.
The sedan fled the scene, last seen heading north on 3rd Avenue. The bus remained at the scene of the accident.
The injured woman was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

There are no video cameras at the intersection. Therefore, the police are looking at the video from the cameras of the bus and from the DVRs of cars that were nearby at the time of the accident.
So far, no one has been arrested in this case, and the investigation is ongoing.
