The first major blizzard of the season is expected in New York: when and how much snow will fall

Storm Team 4 says the first significant snowfall of the season could hit Three State right after a long holiday weekend. The first snowfall is reported by NBC New York.
The latest forecast indicates that snowfall may start on the evening of November 28. Precipitation will continue until the morning of November 29 as temperatures drop to around freezing or colder.
In terms of congestion, areas in the far north and west of New York City will be the hardest hit. Approximately 12 cm of precipitation is possible in places such as Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster counties in New York. Areas between Poughkeepsie and White Plains, as well as northernmost parts of New Jersey and inner Connecticut, will see rainfall levels just below that - 7 to 12 cm.
Other northern parts New Jerseyas well as Rockland County, Inland Westchester County, and coastal Connecticut expect 2-7cm rainfall.
As for the city, in the best case, there will be less than 2 cm of precipitation. But the snow cover on the grassy areas is quite possible.
